No. You sign in to Addness in your browser and approve access (OAuth). Revoke the approval and the AI can no longer read Addness.

We are on a Claude Team or Enterprise plan. Who sets it up?

An Owner adds Addness as a custom connector for the organization. After that, each member selects Connect and signs in with their own Addness account.

What can the AI see in Addness?

Only the goals, comments and deliverables you can see yourself. The AI works with the same permissions as the account you signed in with, never more.

Can my team use different AI tools?

Yes. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Claude Desktop all read and write the same Addness goal tree, so one person's AI can pick up exactly where another person's AI left off.

Ask Claude about your goals, not just your files

Claude Desktop is where many people plan, write and think. Add Addness as a custom connector and Claude can read your goal tree, today's to-dos and KPIs, break plans into goals and keep progress up to date while you talk.

How to connect

The easiest way is to ask the AI itself to set it up. If it gets stuck, show it these steps or finish them yourself.

Set up Addness MCP (https://vt.api.addness.com/mcp).

Approve the browser sign-in yourself when the AI reaches that step.

Add remote MCP through Claude's custom connectors, not through the local desktop configuration file.

Open Connectors

In Claude Desktop, open Customize → Connectors, then select + → Add custom connector.

Add Addness

Use Addness as the name and the endpoint below as the URL. Team and Enterprise plans require an Owner to configure it for the organization.

Authorize in your browser. You can enable the connector per conversation from the Connectors menu.
