INTEGRATIONS
Slack & Google Calendar integrations: Keep track of decisions made in conversation.
Use Slack & Google Calendar integrations to let AI suggest Goals from Slack conversations, receive Addness notifications in Slack and see calendar events alongside today's ToDos. External integrations run only after you enable them, and you can disconnect at any time.

What you can do with Slack & Google Calendar integrations
- 01
Slack
Let AI find unrecorded work once a day
- Connect your organization's Slack workspace, then let each member connect their notifications to receive Addness updates in Slack.
- The ambient integration reads selected Slack channels once a day and proposes potential Goals in Slack.
- Identify ToDos agreed on in conversation that have not been recorded elsewhere.

Google Calendar
View events and today's ToDos in the same list
- Today's events from your connected calendar appear in today's ToDos on the Goal page.

How to connect Slack & Google Calendar
Connect Slack and Google Calendar to Addness separately. Both use OAuth authorization, so you do not enter external service passwords. The integrations are available on Focus and above (Focus and Unlimited).
Slack
- An organization administrator opens Organization settings › Integrations, selects "Add" under "Slack" and connects the organization's Slack workspace.
- Each member opens My Settings › Notifications, turns on Slack Notifications under "Delivery channels" and follows the displayed instructions to invite the bot to the channel where they want notifications and run the command with the integration code.
- The ambient integration reads conversations in selected Slack channels once a day and proposes potential Goals in Slack. People decide whether to add them.
Google Calendar
- Open My Settings › Integrations, turn on "Show Google Calendar events as ToDos" under "Google Calendar" and authorize access with your Google account.
- Today's events from your connected calendar appear in today's ToDos on the Goal page.
- Calendar access is read-only. Addness does not create, change or delete events.
How to disconnect
- You can disconnect at any time. Disconnect Slack from Organization settings › Integrations, and Google Calendar from My Settings › Integrations.
- Disconnecting deletes the integration credentials stored in Addness.
