Sub Lesson 3

Examples of automation and autonomous work

Explore implemented examples published on note

This is the third supplementary lesson. We publish examples of automation and autonomous work on note.

Chapter 5 explains the approach, and A complete guide to Claude Code demonstrates the tool. The examples show what we actually built and how we built it using both.

Read the examples on note

Each example describes a process running at our company, including the information provided and the request used. Find a similar job and adapt the demonstrated setup.

Keep four principles in mind

These principles make the examples easier to apply.

  • Automate fixed procedures; use autonomous decisions for work that changes with the situation. The nature of the work determines the approach. See Chapter 5.
  • Define stopping conditions. Missing information, scope limits and unexpected situations should stop the process and return the decision to a person.
  • Do not let AI fill in facts it cannot verify. Include an instruction such as “For anything you cannot verify, write ‘Not verified’ and leave the fact unresolved.” See Understand how AI behaves.
  • Run locally first. Move to execution that continues while your computer is closed after outputs no longer need corrections.

Start with the process you want to build

You do not have to wait for a matching example. Ask AI to build the process.

Automate the sales report we prepare every Monday.

AI can ask for the details it needs: execution time, delegated scope and what to do when uncertain. You do not need to write the full procedure in advance.
